Turbo Tango: Soda in a Spray Can

There’s an interesting argument to be made that — all soda can’s are ‘spray cans’ if you shake them first. In the case of this Turbo Tango drink, you won’t have to state your case anymore, or tilt your head to drink for that matter. The product, an aerosol-powered bottle that delivers a blast of foamy orange liquid, will be in trial across the UK this month. Depending on consumer reception, the product could be rolled out next year.

According to the Daily Mail, drink manufacturer Britvic “collaborated with a team of more than 40 developers to create what is claimed to be the world’s first plastic aerosol drink.” The product currently has a retail price of £1.60 for 375ml can.

The brand and everyone involved has high hopes for the new format, expecting to garner some positive attention from their target teen consumers. Research has led Turbo Tango to believe that consumers found the drink category “stagnant,” particularly in terms of the packaging. [Via: Geekologie]
