Nabisco Confirms The Triple Double Oreo

We broke the news yesterday, but sources at Nabisco have told Today.com that the Triple Double Oreo is indeed en route to be released this summer. Through their statement, Nabisco describes the new cookie as a compilation of three chocolate Oreo wafers with two different layers of creme — classic vanilla and chocolate.

While Nabisco has offered up a myriad of variations on the traditional Oreo — Mini Oreos, the Double Stuf, etc. — this is perhaps one of the most eye popping in their line. The sheer presence of three chocolate wafers gives off a silhouette similar to a McDonald’s Big Mac. When your cookie looks like a Big Mac, something is right in the world.

Remember, RJ Reynolds, the tobacco company owns Nabisco. The CEO testified in front of Congress ‘I do not believe tobacco is addictive.’ Keep that thought in your head when you’re choosing cookies and try the store brand instead. I personally give NO money to Nabisco. (OK once in a while I’ve GOT to have Chips Ahoy, but that’s it! I’m trying to quit. Do they make a Chips Ahoy patch?)

I found this page while looking for a place to comment on the whole wheat Ritz crackers. I read the above information about the new triple double Oreo and had my first real laugh of the day – thanks! Also thanks for making Ritz whole wheat – I’ve always loved Ritz crackers but felt so guilty eating them that I didn’t buy them very often. Now Ritz crackers are back on my shelf and I can eat them without the slightest guilt. Now if your parent company would stop making cigarettes and make more Oreos instead, that would be just about perfect. Thanks for the Ritz!!!!
