Papa Murphy’s Commercial Takes Jabs At Pizza Delivery Rivals

On Saturday we revealed that Papa Murphy’s had set aside roughly $35 million dollars for an upcoming ad campaign meant to take some subtle blows at competing pizza delivery chains and positioning their take-home variety in a much better light. Sure enough, Monday is upon us and we now get to lay our eyes on the first video to fall out of their campaign:

Seems tame enough, right? The challenge will remain with the end consumer’s ability to digest what Papa Murphy’s is feeding them, both through the mouth and through the mind. Their latest Facebook status reminds consumers that “you are for fresh, hot pizza out of your own oven, not someone else’sYou are for baking it when YOU are ready instead of settling for the cold, delivered version. You are for high quality at a low price, not vice-versa. You are revolutionary. Today you’ve joined the Take ‘N’ Bake Revolution.

Question is, will we join? Or should we just go to Pizza Hut/Domino’s/Papa John’s when we need our fix?

    Take & Bake may be fine in certain situations but in others it fall flat on its face, try bringing Take & Bake to the office – ooops no oven, how bout a party, “hey wait a half hour I gotta cook it first”. Also though I usually pick up my pies delivery these days isnt soggy or cold. Find a good local mom & pop pizza joint & I bet it beats these guys hands down!
