McDonald’s Reveals a Chipotle BBQ Bacon Angus Third Pounder

Utilizing a host of savvy and trending food ingredients, McDonald’s has been preempting yet another addition to their Third Pounder line of burgers: the Chipotle BBQ Bacon Angus Third Pounder. This new burger shows off a 1/3 pound Angus Beef patty sandwiched between a couple slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles and a chipotle barbecue sauce. No official word on any national roll-out of this particular burger, but varying reports from food blogs reveal that the 1,000 calorie sandwich is available in certain test markets, including Wisconsin. Eat on.

    I’ve had this before, in Thousand Oaks, CA. I don’t know if I’m in a test market…I must be, because the last time I was in a McDonald’s in early December, I had one of these things. It was pretty good for McDonalds fare – a “new” taste out of a chain that generally remixes the same old tastes in new configuration (burger minus bun plus tortilla equals snack wrap).
