Domino’s Pizza Confronts Customer About Crappy Submitted Picture

For all those familiar with Domino’s’ recent Show Us Your Pizza campaign, the pizza chain is asking its customers to be the photographers and take pictures of the pizzas that get delivered to their doorsteps. This marketing move and tactic to showcase how drastically different their pizzas have become, and how naturally appealing they look without any photography tricks has been quite a success for the brand. Of course, with so many entries, there are bound to be a few duds…and the Domino’s team set out to make Bryce’s original dismal pizza order right!

Bryce is a customer from Byron, Minnesota who submitted a picture of a Domino’s pizza that was smushed upon arrival. Shortly after hearing the ShowUsYourPizza campaign, Bryce submitted a photo and that same photo was subsequently aired in Domino’s national TV campaign. Domino’s pizza chef Sam Fauser went out to Bryce’s door in Byron, armed with a personal letter from Domino’s CEO Patrick Doyle, $500 in Domino’s gift cards, and a couple brand new pizzas. I feel like the free pizzas is a fine thing, but this just gives people a lot of incentive to make it look like their pizza got messed up.

At least he got a pizza ! ! I ordered mine, tried to pay by check, they don’t take them here in Bath Maine. New rule they forgot to tell anyone about. The driver either ate the pizza, threw it away, or sold them to the next customer, who knows. I’m sending a photo of no pizza, and a torn up check to CEO. I’ll never win any contests but they will know that as an ex customer I’m going to vent every where I can.

Dude is a liar. Ive ordered thousands of pizzas, driven some home in my trunk, tossed em around drunk, and they have NEVER looked that bad. He did that himself. This is sad

I live in Kasson where the store he ordered from is and my older sister is the assistant manager there and the only reason his pizza came like that is because he ordered deep dish with extra cheese, sauce, and toppings. We remade his pizza and the only way it could have smushed to the top of the box like that is if someone physically pushed down on it. Besides if he didn’t like his pizza why didn’t he call the store and have Madi make him a new one? Instead he sends in a picture and gets a load of gift cards from the corporate office when the store he orders from is a franchise and not even owned by the corporate office.
