Tea Packaging Disguised as Bites of Dim Sum

Student Lily Kao has a knack for transforming packaging into adorable pieces of art. The talented artist designed Teassert — a clever way to sell tea.

Inspired by the Chinese tradition Yum Cha, which involves drinking tea and eating dim sum, Teassert features dim sum-like packaging that holds two types of tea (Pu-Erh and Oolong) and roasted peanuts and dark melon seeds — snacks usually eaten during Yum Cha.

Kao also included reusable elements in her design — a Dim Sum recipe, coasters, bookmarks, a tea leaf scoop that doubles as chopsticks, and a bamboo steam basket.
