This Year’s SXSW Has a Vending Machine That Makes 3D Printed Oreos

At this year’s SXSW, Oreo steps it up with 3D-printed cookies on deck. Yes, they’re edible. Yes, everyone not attending is seething with jealousy.

This “deliciously hyper-personalized and customized snacks based on real-time data collection” lets attendees choose from a dozen varieties. The clever marketing scheme features a “Trending Vending Machine” that will offer flavor and color combinations based on what’s popular on Twitter under the hashtag #eatthetweet. Meaning you’ll have a bona fide Oreo within two minutes.

“We’re connecting trending moments to the cookie itself,” said Bonin Bough, VP of global media at Mondelez.

Ah, technology. You’re getting more delicious each and every day.
