Starburst Candy Corn Taste Like Scented Candles

We recently swooped up a few packages of Candy Corn-flavored Starbursts, curious to try out the latest Halloween hopeful. The new item is available in Starburst’s original flavors of cherry, strawberry, orange and lemon.

However, after a few tentative bites of the pastel-colored candy, we came to a conclusion: like Pumpkin Spice M&Ms, Starburst Candy Corn was never meant to exist.

Here’s our reasoning:

1) Candy Corn is perfect. (Yes, we’re aware that 50 percent of the population disagrees with this statement.)

2) Starbursts are perfect. (Sorry, that one’s a fact.)

3) Logically, both combined should lead to a phenomenal mouthgasm. Unfortunately, the reality is that Starburst Candy Corn tastes like edible scented candles. The Halloween-friendly candy bears a waxy texture that blends unpleasantly with the artificial, Splenda-like flavor.

4) Lesson learned: Sometimes, perfection is better left alone.

Still, for those willing to give Starburst Candy Corn a go, you can get them in 2 oz and 12 oz packages for $0.69 and $2.49, respectively.
