In season from September through March, the ocherous gourd consummates beautifully with cinnamon and buttercream and graham cracker, enough so that most folks might even consider themselves addicted. Luckily, there is no shortage of restaurants and retailers proffering the autumnal treat, and, even luckier, most of them have it available for you right this second. So in case you haven’t already, feel free to stop by any of these fine establishments to get your pumpkin fix. Goodness knows you probably need it.

Yes, not content to nab only the St. Paddy’s drink cultists, McDonald’s has introduced a new McCafé Pumpkin Spice Latte to tide everyone over until the return of the Shamrock Shake. Freshly brewed 100% Rainforest Alliance Certified espresso, steamed milk and pumpkin pie flavors make for a seasonal coffee possibly even more deliciously corporate than Starbucks.

New to the chain’s fall/Oktoberfest themed menu this year is Red Robin’s Spiced Pumpkin Pie Shake, made with real Libby’s pumpkin pie filling, vanilla soft serve, nutmeg and graham cracker crumbs. For whenever you feel like sucking down that giant vegetable through a straw.

Both alliterative donut chains are rolling out the pumpkin-flavored pastries, Dunkin’ with a Pumpkin Pie-flavored yeast donut frosted with white icing and sprinkled with graham crackers and Krispy with a Pumpkin Spice cake and new Pumpkin Cheesecake yeast donut. Dunkin’ also has a new Frozen Pumpkin Coffee in addition to its regular Pumpkin Muffin, Pumpkin White Chocolate and assorted Pumpkin coffees.
