Wookie (Half-Waffle, Half-Cookie) Exists

Think of the Wookie as the Cronut‘s sexier, Chewbacca-approved distant cousin.

Spotted by the ladies and gents over at the OC Weekly, this “part waffle, part cookie” dessert is made by stuffing a slab of chocolate chip cookie into a waffle iron. Once pressed, the waffle-shaped cookie is then topped with French vanilla ice cream and drizzled in chocolate sauce.

Thus, the “Wookie” accomplishes what the Cronut (or the Crookie for that matter) never achieved: warm crispy goodness + cold soft ice cream. Oh, and there’s a peanut butter version too. I know, swoon.

If you just happen to be in Orange County, Californa, you can swoop one up at the Iron Press.
