Hardee’s Makes Two New Breakfast Items Available by Region

Interesting figures recapped from the Hardee’s 10-K SEC filing revealed that breakfast accounted for a whopping 48% of their 2010 sales. In the most recent quarter, Hardee’s same-store sales rose 9.6%. With figures like these, it’s no surprise the restaurant has taken two of their region-specific breakfast items and given them a bit of attention. The products getting the additional treatment are their Fried Bologna Biscuit and their Double Loaded Omelet Biscuit.

The Fried Bologna Biscuit consists of egg and cheese on top of a folded slice of Oscar Mayer Bologna, priced at $2.19. The Double Loaded Omelet Biscuit is a biscuit sandwich stock with a double Loaded Omelet with crumbled sausage, baco, ham, and Cheddar cheese, priced at $2.89.

The products are available by region, with the Fried Bologna Biscuit available at participating locations in the Southeast and the Double Loaded Omelet Biscuit available at locations in the Midwest. BurgerBusiness‘s citation of a Hardee’s spokesperson on the subject explains that the chain wil occasionally “split products by region because we can cater more to regional tastes.”

I guess those Southeast kids love themselves some fried bologna, am I right?
